I have had quite a year with foot pain. In 2019 I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. It is the most common cause of heel pain and plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain in the bottom of your foot near the heel. The pain is usually the worst with the first few steps after awakening, although it can also be triggered by long periods of standing or when you get up after sitting. Now my issues didn’t stop there – I now have a heel spur and some ankle issues. The ankle issues were found because of the planters fasciitis and I am currently seeing an orthopaedic surgeon to figure out what is going on. Yeah, lots of fun as I hobble around trying to live my life. I now own two sets of orthotics and comfortable shoes have been my obvious go to as I try to heal (lol). I have been able to wear heels but not all heels are great for me. Enter dr. Liza!
During the summer I was gifted a pair of dr. Liza sandals in Nude. I wore them for a weekend away to celebrate my anniversary. I packed those sandals as well as a few other pairs of heels. What I quickly learned was those sandals offered me pain free stability plus they are a great colour (they also come in black) and looked great with my outfits. I proceeded to only wear those heels for the entire weekend. They also became my go to sandal for the season.
What makes me appreciate the shoes even more is Dr. Liza – the woman behind the brand. A beautiful woman who is an educated professional, and entrepreneur – all while raising her son. Her social media posts bring me joy. Below is a little more about her company:
“After a decade of treating A-list celebrities and professional women with high heel-related pain, without being able to recommend a foot-friendly yet stylish shoe, Dr. Liza designed her own collection of 12-hour, chiropractor-approved shoes. The lineup features sandals, flats, booties and pumps that feel and function like sneakers.
dr. Liza shoes are designed in Canada and meticulously crafted in Brazil with a comprehensive orthotic insole, a shock-absorbing platform (YES!!), a rocker sole to alleviate metatarsal pressure, a non-skid rubber outsole and a deep heel cup to remedy pronation.
dr. Liza shoes are the only heels and flats clinically tested with 3D gait scan technology to ensure that the wearer’s weight is evenly distributed, arches are supported to prevent over-pronation and feet are perfectly cushioned to prevent pressure points.
A buttery leather exterior in a myriad of colour choices provides a polished look from boardroom to ballroom!”
I know you came to see the shoes so I am going to tag some of the best sellers and my favourites:
I highly recommend you head over to the dr.Liza site here and browse the entire collection. What I appreciate is she designed her collection in a variety of colours and even patterns. This allows women to not only be comfortable but fashionable. Lots of choices for a pain free style.
