Wizards and Muggles will love this latest immersive experience! HARRY POTTER: Visions of Magic officially opens in Toronto at YZD and it is spectacular! The experience invites fans of all ages on a journey through a series of stunning installations brought to life through art, sound and light. And knowing that the magical world of Harry Potter celebrates 25 years this year makes this experience even more special!
Visitors can wander into the wizarding world in a magical self-guided journey through some of the most mysterious and enchanting moments inspired by the beloved films. From the fascinating Ministry of Magic to the wonders of Newt’s Menagerie and the mesmerizing Pensieve, each space reveals something extraordinary.
Expect stunning visual displays, incredible architecture and immersive soundscapes that bring the magic to life around you. And here’s where it gets even more enchanting…you’ll be assigned a wand that will reveal hidden details, illuminate the invisible and unlock magical visions. It’s a chance to step beyond the ordinary and experience like never before.

The Knight Bus is where everything begins. Jump in as the triple-decker bus squeezes through the busy streets of London. It’s a whirlwind here so hold on for your photos!
Grimmauld Place is where visitors can explore the ancestral home of the Black family. Here you’ll find some of the family’s most powerful spells and hidden charms.
The Ministries of Magic is where visitors will find the towering walls of the wizardry Ministries of Paris, London and New York.
Newt’s Menagerie step into this magical space and discover Newt’s remarkable suitcase and encounter fantastic beasts in their natural habitats – from Nifflers in their lair to Grindylows in the Black Lake.
The Hall of Prophecy is a magical room filled with what appears to be endless orbs is where visitors are invited to wander. Be present and listen to the prophesies. Find the orb that “speaks to you” to unlock whispers of the future.
Knocturn Alley is lined with secrets along the dark path and where hidden surprises await!
The Room of Requirements is a favourite with so many curious items to explore that seem everyday …but not. Superfans will spot several meaningful magical objects here.
The Pensieve will love this 360º space that bring the key memories in Harry Potter’s life in a swirling journey wrapping up an unforgettable experience.
Some really cool facts about HARRY POTTER: Visions of Magic
This immersive show is on tour and has already been extremely popular in Singapore, Europe, and most recently in Montreal. Promoters EMM Williams who brought this experience to Toronto is a Montreal-based company who specializes in family entertainment. They’ve promoted global acts including Cirque de Soleil. They’ve also announced a new AVATAR experience coming soon!
There are many props used in this production and is highly technical.The team includes experts from Singapore, Montreal, US and now Toronto.
Unlike many projection-only immersive shows this production uses massive physical props. To transport, it involves 28 shipping containers to move it between destinations.
Speaking of large scale props, there is a designer on the team who previously worked on the Michael Jackson shows who helped make this wizarding world come to life!
You don’t have to be a superfan to experience the magic of HARRY POTTER! This experience is designed for everyone even if you’ve never seen any of the films. At the entrance of each immersive space a description board explains everything.
Helpful Tips when visiting HARRY POTTER: Visions of Magic:
Timed entry tickets are available online. This helps the entry flow and pace of the experience allowing for 30 people to enter at each time. Once inside, visitors can explore at their own pace.
The entire walk-through experience will take an average of 60 – 90 minutes to walk through, explore, and try out your wizarding skills through your wand.
Yes, Harry Potter fans are invited to wear their favourite shirts, costumes but please leave your wands at home. You’ll be able to use assigned ones here.
Yes, there is Butterbeer!!!
The location of this experience is at YZD at 30 Hanover Road at Downview. There’s parking on site but if you’re thinking of taking public transit, it is a bit of a challenge (especially with youngsters). If using ride share apps or cabs be sure to plug in the address (if 34 Hanover shows up, just know the entrance is on the opposite side of the building)
