Award Winning Neopolitan Pizzeria No.900 Comes to The Beach

Since 2022, Pizzeria NO.900 has been on a pizza roll. They earned the AVPN (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) certification, which is a big deal in the pizza world. This honour is only given to restaurants that stick to the fundamental rules of Neapolitan pizza, and guess what? They were the first pizzeria in Quebec and the first chain in the world to snag this seal of authenticity. How cool is that?

Welcome to Pizzeria No. 900

Do you know what’s even cooler? They have opened their first Toronto outpost in the Beaches, bringing Neopolitan pizza to the east end of Queen St. Since that is my neighbourhood, I am thrilled to report that this is a solid pizza. I may or may not have eaten here several times already.

STRACCIATA DI BURRATA is my new fave app

The space is sophisticated and warm, with a great front patio during the warmer months. It’s a welcome addition to the area, offering a selection of classic apps like meatballs, arancini, burrata, and charcuterie. This style of pizza is all about that crust, and no.900 delivers. Cooked at extremely high heat for 90 seconds, it produces a crust with charred, puffy bits, great chew, and robust flavour. Expect the classic toppings alongside more creative options like a white pizza with crispy speck and artichoke.

Pizzeria No.900 Offers More than Just Pizza

Pesto Trapanese & Salmoriglio is summer on a plate

You can order online directly through the website or Uber Eats, but it’s always preferable to order directly from the restaurant. They even offer a make-at-home pizza kit with dough, sauce, cheese, and basil if you prefer your Margherita fresh.

If you dine in, plan on spending $20-$30 per person. I found the prices to be really reasonable, with a good wine list and some great, classic cocktails.

Pizzeria no. 900 is located at 1987 Queen Street East.
