Watch Party: Where to Catch the Big Blue Jays Game in the World Series in Toronto

Toronto is buzzing as the big Blue Jays game is on deck. The World Series is here, and there’s no better way to take in the action than surrounded by fans at one of our favourite Toronto bars. Whether you’re looking for big screens, ice-cold pints, or a lively crowd that lives and breathes baseball, the city has plenty of spots ready for the rally.

Here are the best places to cheer, celebrate, and (hopefully) watch the Blue Jays bring it home.

king taps

King Taps (100 King West, and 620 King West)

This buzzy sports clubhouse was so popular that it opened a second location, just down the street from the original. King Taps wears the crown and takes its royal duties seriously. Living up to the hype, KT has a long list of beers, local and imports, as well as on-trend cocktails and tasty wines. But the food! King Taps cranks out some of the best pizzas in town. Try the original hot and honey, The Stinging Bee pizza.

NTNL at The Well (486 Front Street West)

It’s good to have a distraction or two, if you need it, and NTNL succeeds in that subtle art handily. From bowling to burgers, comfy couches and killer cocktails, this sports bar is hitting a home run for friendly service and casual bar bites. Bonus: the bar is participating in The Well’s Burger Fest, making what to order a no-brainer.

More Toronto Bars Built for the Big Blue Jays Game

St. Louis Bar & Grill (313 Bremner Blvd)

Wings, that dilly dip sauce and a frosty pint, does it get any easier than this? There’s more than just wings, of course, but we think they’re the perfect food to munch on between pitches. This location is so close to SkyDome that you can almost hear the bats crack.

Real Sports

Real Sports Bar & Grill (15 York Street)

It doesn’t get much closer to the action than this bar, adjacent to Rogers Centre and next to Scotiabank Arena. The food menu is decent, same team as Scotiabank’s Clubs, e11even, and The Hot Stove. Drinks are flowing at this massive bar, with too many TVs to even try to count. Food is above average for a sports bar.

The Dock Ellis Sports Bar (1280 Dundas Street West)

After throwing a no-hitter high on LSD, this pitcher from MLB went down in history as one of the greats. Dundas West is home to this baseball-themed bar, a tribute to this bygone era of consumption and chaos.

Uptown Toronto Bars to Catch the Blue Jays Game

Drums N Flats (1980 Avenue Road)

This institution on Avenue is part wing emporium, part sports den. Just south of the 401, this place will be jumping from the first pitch.

Jack Astor’s (1060 Don Mills Road)

Don’t hate the player, hate the game. TVs, decent food and above-average drinks go down well with a smattering of screens. If you’re taking the kids too, this one checks a few boxes (before 9 pm).

Joeys (3401 Dufferin Avenue)

Massive screens dot this restaurant’s bar, and each banquette has favourable viewing points too. Food is tasty, and the subway is a convenient escape from any post-game shenanigans.

LOCAL Public Eatery (180 Laird Drive)

This two-story situation in Leaside is sure to be bumping. Friendly service, approachable eats and a long list of beers + cocktails keep fans happy. Downstairs, shuffleboard is a novel distraction from any Dodger-related revelry.
