The Pearle Hotel lives up to its gemstone name. The gorgeous new hotel is a breath of fresh air for those based in Burlington and a boon for travellers bored of Toronto. Boasting a world-class restaurant with a sunny patio, a deluxe spa with all the treatments and absolutely panoramic views of Lake Ontario, it’s a jewel in the crown for this town.
However you like to spend your day, The Pearle Hotel checks quite a few boxes, including a very doable work-from-here atmosphere. But splitting your time between laps in the pool or boardwalk views is perhaps your hardest choice.
LIFE IS BETTER BY THE LAKE

Open since 2021, the palatial property features 151 guest rooms. Onsite Isabelle Restaurant provides sumptuous eats in a distinctly downtown vibe. Earth to Table Bread Bar in the lobby cures your coffee fix, snacks and lunches. It’s easy to unwind with food like this right at your fingertips.
Rooms are spacious and offer more than just space to sleep but to truly unplug and relax. The generous layout echoes the horizon and is presented in a warm yet neutral white palate. It’s a little scandi, it’s a little safe, and that’s quite smart. The views are distracting, so why bother with art on every wall?

LOUNGE BY THE LAKE
A deep soaker tub and massive standalone shower anchor the stylish bathroom. The lighting is thoughtful, with magnifying and double mirrors ensuring your makeup is on point. Again, the space is oversized, giving you room to relax, no claustrophobia kicking in here. Facing a wall of cute historical postcards that chart Burlington’s nautical history and citizens, the hotel is named after the founder’s grandmother Pearle who had an affinity for the handwritten. This continues throughout the hotel, including at Isabelle Restaurant where Grandma Pearle has a small treasure trove of antiques.

A DISTINCTLY FEMININE SIDE
Tranquil and calming colours throughout carries over to The Pearle Spa. A splendid way to spend the day or unwind after work, the full service spa boasts all the luxurious treatments under the sun. Day lockers keep your stuff secure, and you’re also granted pool access, which you won’t want to miss. Dazzling views await poolside, with lounge chairs and lush greens acting as your own personal paradise.

DINING UNDER THE STARS
Meanwhile over at Isabelle Restaurant a generous bar faces the massive patio that’s adjacent to the lake. The smart and sophisticated dishes highlight local ingredients to create a Mediterranean and California focused menu. Perfect for sharing, like the Labneh with puffy and warm Einkorn bread, or just pigging out like the 24oz Rib Eye. Overall, the menu reads like a marriage in Almafi. Elegant and refined, with casual breezines and friendly service, it’s a perfect spot for date night or group gatherings. Cocktails are smart and sexy and the wine menu is concise but shows depth and pairs with Chef’s offerings.

BURLINGTON’S BIG MOMENT
A luxurious stay by the lake is a very Toronto prospect, but with weary travellers searching for local stays The Pearle Hotel is fitting a niche that many of us long for. Fresh seaside air with room to stroll feels like a proper holiday. Gourmet eats with a seaside vista feel like a long-lost holiday. Relaxation awaits, Burlington is truly yours to explore.
