SonyaSanta is here for everyone and Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto has stepped up to ensure that every furry friend is included in all the holiday fun at their pop up Pet Photo Studio experience and it opens on December 1!
For years, Santa visits across the country have welcomed pets but only a specific times of days and on designated days. Made sense. People who visited with their kids and those with allergies were always a consideration. But the demand for pet visits was growing. Even I write an annual list of where you can take your pets for Santa visits in Toronto.
But Yorkdale’s dedicated pet visits with Santa at the Pet Photo Studio experience has dog families in mind.
Here’s what to expect:
Reserve your spot online to ensure you’re not going to be waiting in line for long and helps manage the flow of pets visiting. You can book your spot here. (update: note that peak times are busy)
You can also book photo packages and humans can definitely join in the holiday photo opportunity in a gorgeous setting. Photos are taken “photo booth” style and you’ll have a selection to choose from for printing out and they will also email you the files. We recommend booking while there’s still daylight for better lighting. We were there at 4:00 pm during a weekday and we hear that’s a quieter time to go.
There’s a dedicated entrance located outside of the mall on the north side.
The setting is beautiful blend of modern and traditional adorned with evergreens and twinkly lights. Santa awaits on a luxe seat waiting for your furry friend. The Santa we visited with loves pets!
A few photos will be taken and printed on the spot BUT there are also a few additional set ups with seats where you can take more photos on your own phone while you wait!
There’s also a doggy bathroom station (fenced in for a bit of privacy) as well as a doggy water station.
