Air Canada Aeroplan and World of Hyatt Event

World of Hyatt and Aeroplan offer more rewarding experiences

We’re constantly seeking out ways to make our travel experiences more meaningful and memorable. Destinations that check all our needs and wants take priority. No matter where to want to travel to, every step of the journey matters. And, having ways to feel rewarded for loyalty continue to influence our travels as well. Now, The World of Hyatt and Air Canada’s Aeroplan have announced a new collaboration.

Together, World of Hyatt and Aeroplan have joined together to offer their members more ways to earn and redeem their loyalty rewards. Within this partnership, member benefits are extended to more than 1300 destinations and 1500 hotels globally. What does this mean? It means members can now link their loyalty programs to access, earn and redeem points between accounts.

“At Aeroplan, we’re constantly thinking about ways that we can make the travel experience more memorable for our members and more rewarding,” said Scott O’Leary, Air Canada’s VP of Loyalty and Product. “And we know that that doesn’t just start and at end at 30,000 feet. There’s the travel planning process. There’s getting to the airport. There’s that sip of coffee at the lounge before your flight. But then there’s also on the other end of that when you actually show up at a hotel like the beautiful Park Hyatt in Toronto. Those are memorable experiences. Experiences that stay with you. Our goal is to try and make those experiences not only more memorable but more rewarding.”

Some Perks & Benefits with Hyatt and Aeroplan

Aeroplan, together with the iconic Hyatt hospitality brand is introducing a first-of-its kind loyalty partnership that they believe goes further than any other partnership ever. And it comes with many benefits and perks.

One example O’Leary explained, “when you use your Aeroplan credit card at any Hyatt hotel, you will earn Aeroplan bonus points and World of Hyatt bonus points. Not one, or the other, but both.”

The World of Hyatt now has over two million members and have grown over the past five years. “As we think about growth for us, we’re constantly really connecting with our members,” said said TJ Abrams, VP of Global Partnerships and Wellbeing at Hyatt. “We ask them what’s most important to them and thinking about how to create really rewarding experiences. And this partnership is going to allow us to deliver on just that. It’s not just about connecting to loyalty programs, it’s really about getting to a more rewarding, more seamless, and more connected partnership.”

He went on to highlight a couple of new features including first, linking of accounts. “We want to make sure that our members can convert their posts between the two programs. This giving them more flexibility and greater rewards to fit their travel plans. It also means that in converting their points now, our World of Hyatt members can convert their points into Aeroplan flight rewards. This makes it more easy for our members to create more travel experiences from runway to room key.”

The other point TJ Abrams mentioned is that he thinks is really important is how Hyatt will continue to recognize their members through this program. “For our lead members, we’re extending the experience between the hotel stay with exclusive offers, an annual Air Canada flight credit for discoverers, explorers, and globalists. Also, new opportunities to fast track status across both programs.”

We’re hopeful that with this new connected way of integrating loyalty programs means more travel experiences, more choices, and more flexibility in using rewards. You can learn more here.
