Centrally located and thoughtfully appointed, The SoHo Hotel is a great option for those looking for a staycation in the city. With fall ball on the horizon (Let’s Go Jays!) and our boys in blue (and red!) returning home the city is shining with actual events once again. TOP REASONS TO TUCK IN AT THE SOHO HOTEL AND SUITES

Situated steps from SkyDome (yeah, old habits die hard) and kitty-corner to King West, you can practically feel the heartbeat of the city from the view. Almost everything happens within a stone’s throw of this unique property.
Operating as a boutique hotel with the amenities and services of a big chain mega-outfit is a wonderful prospect. Too often, especially in big cities, you can feel totally lost, like another number. Here, you’re greeted in the spacious lobby with a friendly welcome. No detail is too small or big for their team to handle. Between dining reservations or tickets to that sought-after show, you’re in good hands with the SoHo team.

GENEROUS OVERSIZED SUITES PERFECT FOR STAYCATIONS IN THE CITY
While stars and celebrities may opt for an upgrade, the regular rooms, all of which are suites, are gigantic! My oversized suite featured a living room, dining area, massive bathroom with a deep soaker tub and separate bedroom quarters. It’s private, cosy and spacious all at once. It’s no surprise it’s regularly booked out for film shoots, bridal parties and extended stays.
Germaphobes and those who are Covid-Aware will appreciate the individual HVAC for each room, no shared air here, thank you. Windows also serve a purpose, it’s unusual to find downtown hotel rooms with actual functioning windows. Brilliant! The SoHo Hotel also boasts two rooms with airy terraces.

DISTINCTIVE TOUCHES AND ALL-STAR HOTEL STAYCATION ADD-ONS
The flourishes and artful inclusions start in the lobby with the iconic Steve Jobs print, but continue throughout each room and shared space. Oversized money is unconventional and quirky. I had spectacular space dreams and woke turbocharged to start my day.
And that is a good thing since celebrity trainer and in-house gym expert Dalton Brown was coming directly to my suite the next morning. Having the talents of a dedicated fitness professional on speed dial is another boon to this unique hotel. Why not break a sweat in your suite? With ample space to go around, I was put through the paces and appreciated the privacy (more on Dalton next month!).

Almost as equally as convenient is the second-floor gym, and outdoor workout space. Gym enthusiasts will appreciate the state-of-the-art equipment and pool area. After working out it’s certainly a requirement to grab a bite, and in-house Cafe Moretti offers morning coffees and more, while Pizzeria Moretti is known for pizza and Italian eats, all perfect to bring back up to your suite.
Whether you’re a sports enthusiast looking for a central spot to cheer from, or you’re a gym bunny looking for some downtime, The SoHo Hotel is a top-notch choice for Toronto staycations.
