The first and only Kimpton property in Canada is in our very own backyard, right on Bloor Street. Kimpton Saint George is an art-filled hotel in the heart of Toronto. With 188 guest rooms, the newly renovated property is a warm and welcoming beacon of good things coming to locals and tourists alike.
Primarily operating in the US, every Kimpton property is different- bringing in local aspects from the community, like the artwork curated by the community, to the overall design. Neighbourhood feels are injected into each of their respective properties which creates a vibrant and distinct touch to each space.
Operating as a Holiday Inn previously, the expansive project marries two bustling neighbourhoods, The Annex, home to artists and creatives, and Yorkville, Canada’s destination for world-class shopping.
BLOOR STREET, ON REPEAT
Flanked by two historic neighbourhoods, Toronto’s largest university and a stone’s throw from just about anything else, Kimpton Saint George boasts a prime location. Echoing this history, polaroids dot the hallways giving you a lens to a Toronto past. Each suite furthers this connection with a curated approach to design. Both function and comfort are combined with mid-century modern flourishes. A working record player sings from the 60s, while a The Weeknd record channels future energy. Unexpected and a little quirky, The Kimpton brand is known for these touches, not stale cookie-cutter designs.
A rec-room vibe lobby offers coffee in the morning by the fire, and wine during happy hour. A social space for mixers or a quiet nook to take a call, it’s a smart design that brings every mood and mind together on the same page.

The adjacent The Fortunate Fox pub is not owned by the hotel but offers easy access and room service right upstairs. The on-site Peregrine Room is ideal for weddings and business meetups and is a hot new addition to Toronto’s private dining spaces.
But how are the rooms?
BRANCHING OUT ON BLOOR

Built for the distinguished business traveler, city-staycationer, or visiting U of T parents, Kimpton Saint George is also a pet-friendly property. Designed by Maison Studio, the space is arranged thoughtfully to accommodate your pack, whether it’s a long weekend to unwind or a long-awaited wedding, everyone is right at home at these sumptuously appointed suites.
Most rooms boast generous king-size beds, but there are a few queen options if you’re looking to sleep like a starfish. Comfort is a top of mind, beds are glorious with 600 thread count sheets and everything at your fingertips reach, from Bluetooth speakers to slippers, you’re covered.
Lounge chairs, chesterfields and a record player give a very relaxed invitation to your evening. Those whimsical inclusions, like the white squirrel in the closet, the sought-after record from your heyday, those important tactile touches make for a rewarding and inviting stay.
Bathrooms are both brightly lit and bubbly. Ours was anchored by a massive deep soaker tub/wet room with a shower, truly a spa experience unrivalled in this city.
A 24/hr fitness centre with a Peloton install coming soon seals the deal for those looking to shake up their routines. The gym area also features an actual barre for those budding ballerinas and more bikes and treads and free weights for a robust workout on the fly.
