Thanksgiving 2020 edition is a turkey day like no other. The typical ritual of joining friends and family for a well-intentioned exchange of platitudes and pleasantries now will be virtual, with top doctors pleading for us to #stayhome. But that doesn’t mean Thanksgiving should be canceled. Instead, we’re switching things up, taking a night off and looking forward to an afternoon of board games and day-wines. Leave the cooking to the chefs, and instead tuck into one of these tempting turkey day takeouts.
Pick up or delivery is available for Chef Chris Locke’s take on turkey day, with upscale flourishes on classic comfort food. For $39 a person, this fall bounty comes banging with Chicken Ballantine with thyme butter, Morel Mushroom and Brandy Sauce, and of course, all the stuffing and sides. Wines are also available for purchase and delivery.
The ladies at Leña, Chefs Julie Marteleira and Sous Laura Petracca have teamed up to create this Argentinian inspired feast, with all the fixings. Guajillo-Glazed Turkey Breast comes decked out with spicy pork sausage stuffing, roasted yams and squash and ample starches and veg. Add in a non-optional Quince and Apple Crumble for an extra $25 and get those stretchy pants ready.
