New Year’s traditionally has been a way to say goodbye to the old year and ushering a fresh start. It often involves overflowing champagne. BUT it doesn’t have to be overflowing in libations. A glass or none? We got you! Here are a few ways to celebrate right here in Toronto that won’t leave you with a hangover.
Polar Bear Skate at The Bentway:
On December 31 at noon, join other Torontonians and skate the trail right under the Gardiner Expressway. Wear your undies or bathing suits and skate outdoors for charity. The annual event is clothing drive with donations accepted on site. Clean and gently used or new warm winter clothing will be donated to the New Circles Community Services. Event is free to event. Bring your own skates. There will be rentals as well ($). Participants will received a complimentary Bentway toque and hot chocolate while supplies last. Register on The Bentway site.
December 31. Royal Ontario Museum. Join in this legendary bash with live music, DJs, epic performances and more. Brandon Ash-Mohammed: The mega-talented stand-up comedian, producer, and star of Amazon Prime’s Last One Laughing Canada, will ignite the night by hosting the jam-packed celebration Yes, you will have access to the entire Museum including all current exhibitions. Tickets include food stations and a drink for your New Year’s Eve toast.
