When our kids were young we LOVED when they brought home handmade gifts for special occasions. Thank you teachers for coming up with the project ideas to make for us moms! I remember the mish-mash of beads, painted macaroni and foam stars turned into necklaces, and the cutest glue on everything photo frames! I also remember the painted flower pots that suddenly sprouted little greens. And the coupons for extra cuddles and movie night! They were the sweetest! I still love handmade gifts to receive and to give. Needless to say I’ve gone happily down that rabbit hole in the Cricut Design Space for more inspiration for Mother’s Day.

Whether you’re a beginner like me or a full-on creator, there are literally thousands of ideas to inspire your inner maker!

Here are some of my favourites!

There are TONS of card projects and great for all levels of experience. We think it’s a sweet idea to start here and even give mom on her own machine. You can start with the Cricut JoyXtra like I have.

For any new moms, or grandmas (or dog and cat moms too!) this journal concept would be a great ongoing keepsake for everyday and even tracking newborns growth stages. Create the stickers and add to any journal. You can even slide in a few surprise stickers inside on random pages!

See what I did there? MOM get it? Personalize her favourite daily affirmation, cheeky saying, or just say she’s da best. Whatever you want. If you’re new to the Cricut mug heat press it’s pretty easy to use. The most time I spent was initially watching the “how to” YouTube videos. Then, trying to figure out what design I wanted to use. There are plenty of ideas and even a starter template. I used infusable ink transfer sheets to create these. Follow instructions as you’ll need to also mirror your image.

A pretty way to keep a few of her favourite things together. It’s where I keep some of my crystals. This was created in honour of our spring blossom season. I love keeping a few little daily reminders of things I love where I can see them. Use permanent vinyl.cricut - trinket tray - diy
