If the dating scene is confusing for the younger generations, what the heck is it like for boomers? In a new eye-opening Netflix docuseries, The Later Daters, executive produced by Michelle Obama, we explore the quest for love for an older generation. Relatable? Whether you’re single, or have a parent who’s single, this inspiring and relatable dating series follows six baby boomers (men and women) and their dating journey– with the support and help of their adult kids, closest friends, and a renowned relationship expert, find love in this whole new era.
Harvard trained behaviour scientist Logan Ury (author of How to Not Die Alone) coaches the singles as they navigate a whole new dating world and try to manage realistic expectations. She is known to help her own clients navigate their love lives. Interestingly, Ury previously ran the behavioral science unit at Google and is the current Director of Relationship Science at the dating app Hinge.
As you can imagine, navigating the dating scene at any age isn’t easy! They also explore all the different rules when it comes to online etiquette (phishing? fishing? swipe where? slide into my what?) and what about emojis? An eggplant has a different connotation!

The available dating singles in their 50s, 60s, and 70s try their chance at love whether they’re divorced, widowed or longtime single — will they forge deeper connections with their families and possible partners? They may even learn more about themselves in the process! It’s never too late to find love, right?
Season 1 of The Later Daters docuseries was filmed in Atlanta. All eight episodes will drop on November 29 only on Netflix and Netflix Canada. Read more about the docuseries and to watch the trailer, visit tudum.com
We’d love to know what it’s like on the silver dating scene! Any tips?
