LAGREE Plus Launches New Studio at Yonge and St Clair

LAGREE Plus has officially landed at Yonge & St. Clair, bringing its signature slow-burn strength training to midtown. The workout focuses on time under tension — think tiny movements and long holds that work your muscles to exhaustion, all without ever picking up a dumbbell. Everything happens on the Megaformer, a spring-loaded machine that looks intense, but the small class size means you’re never left guessing what to do.

LAGREE Plus Life, Now in Midtown

Our instructor, Blaire, is the real standout. Strong, calm, and laser-focused, she guided the room with steady cues and a tempo that kept us moving without feeling chaotic. Her coaching style is encouraging, not shouty — the kind that makes the 50 minutes pass quickly and leaves you feeling like you accomplished something.

The new studio itself feels bright and elevated. There’s a café inside that brews organic coffee and matcha and stocks smoothies and nourishing snacks — perfect for a post-class hangout or even just a casual drop-in if you’re in the neighbourhood.

Each class begins with a brief grounding moment, helping you settle into your breath before the work begins. No prior experience is required, and instructors offer adjustments for every level. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned LAGREE person, you’ll be supported throughout the workout.

Founded by Payvand Aznavehzadeh, the girly space is modern and refined. It’s similar to the original location on Adelaide Street, which only opened last year. It’s intimate and boasts a boutique vibe. Next up for Payvand? She is hinting at an East End location, likely in Leslieville. Don’t hold your breath for anytime soon, though, she jokes about her current ‘Two under Two’ status with two new businesses in mere months.
