Ever wonder if you have psychic abilities? Call it intuition or whatever but some believe they might possibly fall into this realm. Now that it’s October, and the season of all things that go bump in the night, we thought it would a be a good time to ask our resident psychic and seer, Angel Morgan, about how to embrace our inner abilities.
Angel Morgan, a well-respected and well-known Canadian psychic tells us some people are definitely born with these abilities. However, we either pull back and suppress what we feel because we don’t feel we’d be taking seriously or we’ve told we were “crazy”. Then, there are some of us who are all in but get ahead of ourselves. Patience is key if you’re looking to explore your natural abilities. It’s also important to learn and understand how it all works within your life. By the way, she says she hates when people use the word “crazy”.
But we all hear the words of being “mindful and present” and that applies here as well. Angel often tells people to listen to their inner voices and not dismiss them. “Listen to that voice and as long as you’re not hurting yourself, or anyone else, pay attention to what comes naturally from the heart and go with it.”
“Whatever you get, whatever you feel, and whatever you hear, don’t dismiss it,” said Angel. “I listen and dismiss nothing. But I also have the courage to go learn more about what it is that’s calling me. When you accept what’s coming instead of fighting it, then you’ll feel more free and open to this calling.”
She also tells us that for her being mindful and present means to go with the flow. Angel tells is it’s okay to go and play to help explore your inner self. Not everything has to have an end goal or reason. Just enjoy and often the world will show itself to you in a different light when your mind feels free. For her, she keeps the balance right by running in marathons and rids her bike. “This is my energetic way of connecting mind, body, and soul.”

Patience is critical when you’re exploring your potential. Angel tells us many people go to her feeling scared when they are seeking clarity. “People are often scared of what they will see or know. But in actual fact, many people will never have any heavy energy encounters.”
Ah, interesting point. I mentioned that I have friends within my circle who tell me they are open to any encounters and just haven’t experienced anything. While myself, have had more than my share. Angel believes that it’s because we’ve made it that way for ourselves and our expectations are often influenced about what we see in movies. From my experience, it hasn’t ever been anything dramatic but more come across more softly and subtly.
For Angel, she explains that she doesn’t believe in good and evil but rather low and high, or light and heavy, energies. As someone who’s travelled the world to learn about healing in other cultures, Angel shares her treasure trove of findings often woven into her appearances. She’s met and learned from Shamans and other healers who are steeped in traditional teachings. She’s also led psychic development workshops in various places for several years.
In the workshops she reminds people to not get ahead of themselves and find the time and the right teachers to guide them through the process of understanding and compassion. “People are very interesting in how they feel and want to learn more about who they are spiritually. They want to learn how to nurture those feelings and their abilities.”
She also tells us that like any other profession, people who explore their skills will find themselves in a niche much like doctors with their specializations. You can be focused on women, children, or even pets. Psychics and seers are not just about the scary stuff, or as she calls it “heavy energies”.
When we talk about heavier energies those are often associated with death or addiction. She tells us it’s rare to come across people who find themselves in this realm like what we see often depicted in movies. “98% of people will never meet with someone who has the true ability to work with exorcisms.”
But lighter energy workers are about guidance and what many of us can relate to on a daily basis that can direct us on our personal journeys. “Lighter energies are considered angelic presences. They can guide, help transition and provide closure,” says Angel.
Angel considers herself a transition worker but it’s not about transition from living to dead. She can help guide spirits crossing over to the other side which often people think about. People ask her about their loved ones, she will invite them in to help provide a connection, comfort and often closure.
This reminded me of a virtual coffee chat Angel and I had during the pandemic. Angel appeared to look past my shoulder and mentioned that my grandfather was present and was asking if I wanted candy. I was speechless as there was no way she would have known this piece of information. My grandfather had passed over 35 years ago. He use to ask me this all the time. This was a comforting feeling knowing that he’s around. Sure, friends have said to me “oh, this is common for grandparents to say,” and brushed it off. But I don’t believe so. They are very specific words that were more like a greeting and repeated in my childhood from only one of my grandparents.
Angel says true psychics are always in control and we should understand that they don’t work for the spirits. And the spirits don’t work for us but it’s about working together. So, when she’s on stage, she’s not “channelling”. She’s often working with a hundred different entities all at once. “They’re giving me information and I’m setting the boundaries. I’m working with the audience as well as the spirits to deliver messages.”
This is fascinating to watch. Having been to several of Angel’s “shows” you can see this all in action. She’s thinking, asking questions, and processing all while an audience awaits. “I’m having two conversations at once. One with the audience member and one with the spirit,” said Angel.
“It’s a skill and probably the biggest skill that any reader can have. Dual communications with multiple conversations happening around you. You’re tapping into different dimensions and trying to focus on one voice at a time and then deliver the messages takes a lot of focus.”
Angel has an another spooktacular night coming up in Toronto at The Factory Theatre on October 18th, hosted by Krysta Maryk. It’s a special one celebrating Angel’s 25 year journey. If you’re interesting in attending, or learning more about her, visit her site here.
