Bathing Belle Swimwear - Canadian Swimwear Brand

Gorgeous Canadian Swimwear Brands We Love

There’s something special about choosing local—especially when it comes to the pieces we wear closest to our skin. Canadian swimwear brands continue to catch our attention, not just because we love supporting homegrown talent, but because these designers truly get our lifestyle. From laid-back cottage weekends to sun-soaked destination escapes, they create swimwear that blends comfort, quality, and effortless style.

Even better? Many Canadian brands are leading the way with thoughtful design—prioritizing inclusivity, sustainability, and high-quality fabrics that actually last beyond one season.

With several getaways on the calendar this year, we’ve been on the hunt for a few fresh pieces to take with us. Our team gravitates toward a mix of styles, colours, and patterns—and since we come in all shapes and sizes, finding brands that celebrate real bodies is always part of the mission.

LEFT ON FRIDAY

Founders Shannon & Laura (Vancouver) met at lululemon where they both previously worked for 11+ years on the product team. Shannon is a former VP of Women’s Design and Laura led the Speed to Market team. They were tired of their swim gear letting them down in every way. And since they couldn’t find the perfect bathing suit, they built it.

They believed that nothing should hold you back..not even your swimwear. Importantly, their collection was designed to keep up with each person that’s easy to care for and feels amazing on- hello, Smoothing Dream Fabric from Italy. Designed in Canada.

SALTWATER COLLECTIVE SWIMWEAR

Owner and designer, Camilla James grew up living in Denmark. During the summer months she recalls all beaches as a “nude beaches”. Even though they’re not labelled that way, but in Denmark it’s an unspoken fact that you decide whether you want to wear a swimsuit or not. This attitude is prominent amongst Danes, a culture where bodies are just that….bodies!

She wanted to create a line where women felt confident in their own skin. Everyone has a different body shape and there is nothing wrong with that. The brand uses ECONYL – a regenerated fibre can be recycled, recreated and remoulded infinitely. This means that new products can be created without using new resources.
