If you’ve been following along with Gina Livy and her “LIVY METHOD” of healthier mindset eating, you’ve already learned about how to set yourself up for success. Having the right food and snacks within reach is the start. It’s not about depriving yourself of food or counting calories. It is about balance and listening to your body’s cues – eat to satisfaction. Drink your water and keep moving. With the easy-to-follow food guide, you’ll be on your way to feeling much better, less tired and with more energy! Win Win! Hey, if we can show up for ourselves …so can you!
Here are our favourite healthy recipes that we think even Gina Livy would approve of!
Egg Buddies:
AKA egg bites, are our favourite high-protein, low-carb breakfast. Grab and go on the run from Starbucks or Timmy’s, but better yet, make them yourself in a snap. Beat six eggs, chop some extra veggies, add to a greased muffin tin and bake. Cool, freeze, and you have a one-minute hot breakfast to go!

Roasted Root Vegetable Salad:
Make it with mint, arugula or anything else leafy! This recipe celebrates easy oven-ready veg, with a zesty dressing and a bit of goat cheese (optional). Makes for a great meal or side dish on hot summer days and nights.
Lemon Parmesan Asparagus Salad
Asparagus season is almost here, and this salad is a winner with everyone. We love how we can control the parmesan, and in all honesty, you don’t need much! Asparagus is a good source of dietary fibre, potassium, iron, manganese, and selenium. It’s also high in Vitamin C (an antioxidant) and has more folate than any other vegetable.

Salmon Rice Bowl:
This very versatile bowl is a go-to and can be made with fresh-baked or grilled salmon, smoked salmon, or even canned if you’re in a pinch. For the Livy Method, you can control your grain portion (swap out white rice for quinoa if you like!) and load up on your veggies. Sriracha is our best friend for a kick of flavour.
More Gina Livy Inspired Eating

Pistachio Pomegranate Salad:
Crunchy, salty, and addictive! Ever tried pistachios in your salad? We’re obsessed with satiating salads like this pistachio pomegranate salad. By combining a few of my favourite things into one big Elaine-sized bowl, this salad is a safe starter and hefty enough to eat on its own for a satisfying meal too.

Mediterranean Loaded Sweet Potatoes:
Sweet potatoes are a nutritious, delicious, and versatile food, with numerous health benefits that make them a great addition to a balanced diet. From supporting immunity and vision to promoting heart and digestive health, and tasty too! They’re easy to incorporate into meals or can be enjoyed on their own. This is a keeper recipe.

Moroccan Chick Pea Soup:
Try some new flavours with less cholesterol, less fat, and less dairy, but tons of flavour in this one-pot recipe that’s tasty and heart-healthy (bonus!). Moreover, the great thing about this is that you can freeze leftovers and reheat them conveniently when you don’t feel like cooking.
