Fairgrounds Public Racket Club is bringing its most ambitious racket club yet to Leaside. Opening this summer, the new flagship takes over a transformed Mercedes-Benz dealership at Bayview and Eglinton. A space designed for play, connection, and community.
With 13 pickleball and four padel courts, the club is built for fast-paced games and friendly competition. More than just a place to play, it offers curated programming, exclusive events, and top-tier amenities. Soaring glass walls and 25-foot ceilings set the scene for a fresh era of racket sports in Midtown. It’s vibrant and fun, much like the people pushing these sports to the mainstream.
Fairgrounds Public Racket Club Sets Its Eyes on Leaside
Founded in 2022, Fairgrounds is exactly that. An affordable shared space for everyone. Racketball sports can conjure images of Lacoste-clad country-club goers reserving courts for equally well-heeled peers, but here, the focus is on equality. And fun. Court times are affordable. There’s no stuffy minimum spend for food or beverages.

Leaside is Prime for Pickleball + Padel
Pickleball is a sport that’s still gaining momentum. It’s easier than tennis and more sociable than squash. The format is focused on fun, and players of all ages can drop in and enjoy without getting too caught up in the rules.
Fairgrounds Public Racket levels the playing field for all athletes. There are plans for clinics, coaching and more practical play to engage with newer players. Seasoned pros will revel in the tournament opportunities. Fairgrounds Public Racket Club will also offer a range of memberships with seamless access to all locations.
Players of all Levels are Welcome at Fairgrounds Public Racket Club
Besides the courts, Leaside’s Fairgrounds will also feature some wellness touches. A sauna and cold shower are perfect add-ons for post-play cooldowns. An adjacent lounge and stadium seating allow for extended hangs. A ‘hyper-local’ food program promises to keep players nourished.
