When we see that large round orb at Ontario Place along the Lakeshore it brings us back to days when we were growing up. It was exciting to go with family, friends or um yeah…boyfriend to see the best movies on that giant screen. We were excited to find out that the Cinesphere, the world’s first permanent IMAX theatre, is still active and continues to screen so many great films here.

This October, Ontario Place is kicking off their Cinesphere Film Series for movie lovers. The theme is NOSTALGIA and the films have been thoughtfully curated including a few specially themed for Halloween and over the holidays. Is there a better way to get into the Halloween spirit (and maybe get some costume inspirations?) than watch classics like JAWS (1975) and The Thing (1982).

Ontario Place also invites visitors to kick-off the holiday season by taking in beloved seasonal classics such as Gremlins (1984), Scrooged (1988) and Love Actually (2003) on the big screen. A fun gift of a night out don’t you think?

And for those that appreciate cult classics, Ontario Place is also featuring Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), Conan the Barbarian (1982), Dr. Strangelove (1964), Cowboy Bebop (1998), Apocalypse Now -The Final Cut: IMAX Experience(1979), Labyrinth (1986), and ET (1982).

You can view the listings here and more films are being added: www.ontarioplace.com
