Bio Sculpture has been around the block but for the uninitiated newbies, say hello to your new best friend. For years, I relied on shellac manicures to keep my digits looking spiffy for over a minute. After being invited to try the new Bio Sculpture Gel Colours for spring, it was immediately clear my shellac days were over.
Four chip and break-free weeks later, I’m click-clacking away as I type this. As a result, my nails have grown at least 1/4″ and are in the best shape, ever. To find out if I’m part bionic (are these just actual claws?) or if this is just my new-new, I spoke with Rebecca Costanzo, Manager of Brand Development and Education for Bio Sculpture Canada to s what’s trending this spring.
LEAVE IT TO THE PROS- WHAT’S THE BIG DEAL WITH A BIO SCULPTURE GEL MANI?

Clearly, the nail trend continues to gain popularity- it’s such a popular way to express individuality and your personality. What is the biggest trend for brides these days?
For Brides, it’s always a toss-up between French or a pinky/nude shade. I have created so many custom colour combos to best suit the bride’s vision and their skin tone.

Now, Men and other folx are getting in on the nail trend too- how are nail artists getting creative in supporting this movement?
Nails are such an individual thing and I always see each manicure as a collaboration! On the other hand, nail artists absolutely love when clients come in with inspo or an idea and it’s our job to bring it to life. More people into nails means more opportunities to start new trends and be creative!
STOP SWEATING OVER WHAT’S NEW AND JUST LET GO OF WHAT’S HOT- BE YOU
We all can look back at older wedding photos, with dated makeup and haircuts- what nail trends should you avoid for the big day?
I would also stick to the classics and avoid anything that is super trendy at that moment in time. Choose something that feels natural to you and your everyday style!
Knowing the longevity of the Bio Sculpture mani- What can brides do to keep their Bio Sculpture nails looking good for their honeymoon and beyond?
Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! It is essential to keep nails hydrated to ensure the longevity of the manicure. Next, using cuticle oil is the key to proper nail hydration. I always recommend using one of the Bio Sculpture Cuticle oils and the Vitamin Dose every day.
