Not into cows and horse jumping and think the Royal Winter Fair isn’t your jam? Think again, my friends, because there is a ton of great food and drink to check out at this yearly celebration of agriculture, local food and drink and equestrian competitions. Taste lots of cheese, treat yourself to delicious baked goods, sip wine, beer and cider or discover new brands and of all sorts of edible delights at the Spotlight on Local section presented by Metro.

 

All of this is going down until Nov 10 so you have lots of time to check it out before it’s gone.

There are 8 actual restaurants ranging from high end to gastropubs or Heritage Court Cafe if you fancy some wine and charcuterie.

If you feel like getting hands on, you can sign up for a cooking session with one of Toronto’s top chefs, happening daily throughout the entire 10 days at the Burnbrae Farms Culinary Academy.

 

Dine like a king at the Royal Terrace with free access to the members only Tankbark Club with the best view of the horse shows.

Wander the aisles and try some of the best that the different regions of Ontario has to offer.

There are beers, ciders and wines on hand and since the entire site is licensed, you can walk around with your drinks this year.

Go hungry, eat lots, pet a goat and support the people who produce the delicious things we eat and drink.
