Chef Margie Cook curates an excellent vegan menu for the busy chain of Italian restaurants, scattered throughout the GTA. With a strong focus on classics like the Caesar Salad, Margie plays with texture and taste and replicates an incredibly creamy dressing that satisfies without the need for egg or anchovy.

Rosalinda

Chef Matthew Ravenscroft may not be a vegan, but works alongside a few, including Rhekia Fahssi who goes to task on creating a full vegan menu at this Mexican themed restaurant. Mexican food lends itself well to plant based eating, and their menu leaves nothing out of reach for those devoted to the diet. And just for today, a portion of sales from any item on their menu with be donated to Environmental Defence Canada.

Quickie eats need not be left out, and with locations all over the GTA, Quesada makes it easy to grab and go. Black bean and grilled veggies are easy options, or you can add more protein with their Beyond Meat offering for a bountiful burrito.

This biggie brewery on Bathurst has a few vegan selections and salads, but the main draw is the Chef’s Local Veg Plate. Smoked veggies make a case for bucking a cheese board, with garnishes and flourishes that put veggies on the forefront.
