Looking for a new way to workout? Perky Athletics has launched, and is ready to shake up your regular old workout routine. Yoga in a brewery? Fusion in an eyeglass shop? Or better yet, Pilates and a cider flight at Brickworks Ciderhouse? Workouts like this seem too good to be true, but its not, and it gets better. Perky is downright bucking the trend and offering some of their extensive catalog of classes for free.
Wait, what? For free? Yes.

From couch to 5K’s, to HIT themed workouts, Perky’s got all your bases covered. What acts as a roadblock for many, founder Rebecca Perkins looked at like a challenge- keeping people motivated to continue working out, knowing the biggest hindrance to sticking to that routine is boredom. Formerly at Labatt Breweries, Rebecca saw a distinct need in the industry- many fitness instructors are freelancers, looking to expand not only their network and platform, but also reach out to new perspective students, and showcase their talents in a unique setting. It’s a win-win for everyone. Perky keeps 10% of the till, and the freelance fitness instructor nets the rest. The venue increases brand awareness and utilizes a space that may be sitting vacant anyway. And the gym bunny? Well, the app (and website) allow you to connect with other fitpso peeps, so if you’re new in town, or trying to make friends while kicking off a healthy habit, Perky’s got your back.
